While You Were Gone

Amanda Lucier, staff photographer for The Virginian-Pilot, has been photographing and writing about the home front in the U.S. wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Each week since September, she has been chronicling milestones in the lives of military families in Hampton Roads.
